Sole2Soul Sports: Summer 2015

Client: Sole2Soul Sports

Sole2Soul Sports is a locally owned store specializing in running shoes, equipment, and accessories.  Part of their mission is to not only provide the best equipment and expertise for their market, but the owner, Scott Newton, helps manage several running events all over California.  He approached me early in 2015 to ask about designing logos, fliers, and posters for their annual Summer Series, a 5k chip timed race held every other week through the summer at Woodward Park in Fresno.  After studying several running groups and the demographic of Scott’s north Fresno location (the closest location to Woodward Park), I put together the following logos and designs for Sole2Soul Sports and their Summer Series in 2015.

Part of my job as Graphics/Publications Artist at Fremont Community Church was to support the church’s Student Ministries position. One of my first tasks was to create a logo and print material for the annual See You At The Pole rally.

In 2008, I “bellied up to the bar” at Knott’s Berry Farm’s Calico Saloon and found myself taking on the role of their pianist, “Fingers.” The shows featured a fun mix of piano accompaniment in the style of the old-time saloons, along with some acting & singing.

In 2014, I worked to create a new logo for the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame. That logo can be seen in print and web materials, as well as in the proposal for the new Athletic Hall of Fame display to be featured at Fresno State University’s SaveMart Center.
